Privacy Policy for Live Chennai

Effective date: April 20, 2026

Live Chennai (the "App") is developed and maintained by Hanif. This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

Information we collect

The App does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There is no user account, no login, and no in-app analytics or advertising.

Network requests

To display metal prices, news articles, and events, the App makes read-only network requests to a backend hosted on Appwrite Cloud (Singapore region) and loads images from a public content delivery network (CDN). As part of standard server operation, those services may log technical information such as your IP address, device type, and request timestamps. This information is handled by the respective service providers under their own privacy policies.

Push notifications

The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver optional push notifications (for example, when a new article or event is published). To do this, Google generates a device-specific FCM registration token, which the App stores on its Appwrite backend solely for the purpose of sending notifications to your device. The token is not tied to your identity and is not used for advertising, profiling, or analytics. You can disable notifications at any time from the Android system settings for the App.

Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will always reflect the most recent version.
